An exciting opportunity has become available for an EHS and Compliance Manager based in Redcar, Teesside.

The Role:

You will be required to develop, manage, monitor and continuously improve systems and approaches that ensure excellence in EHS lab practice.  Responsibilities will include;

  • Improve and maintain a safety culture, delivering superior performance in EHS by setting direction and example to embed a positive safety behavioural culture.
  • Develop and mentor leadership investigation of accidents, incidents and near misses.
  • Ensure all EHS functions, including medical surveillance, IPT security and operations specialist training is identified and maintained.
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities regarding EHS and compliance matters.
  • Lead the compliance and EHS performance management review process.


The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of relevant safety, health & environmental legislation and guidelines, experienced with local regulatory compliance, apply for and obtaining environmental permits, permit compliance and regulatory reporting. A Bachelor’s Degree in occupational safety or equivalent such as NEBOSH trained would be desirable.
