A exciting new opportunity has arisen for a HR Manager based in Stockton-on-Tees to work on a large scale contract. This role is initially for 6 months and offers a competitive salary.

The Role would include the following duties:

  • Develop recruitment related documents; job descriptions, person specifications and Advertise vacancies through appropriate channels
  • Liaise with recruitment agencies, job centres and other external bodies
  • Responsible for arranging training in line with statutory requirements, Sourcing training funding and Develop training plans
  • Develop and enhance the induction programme and Ensure all new employees receive induction training
  • Monitor and review contracts of employment and the staff handbook
  • Provide assistance and support to Managers in all HR matters such as dealing with grievances and disciplinary issues.
  • Develop appraisal forms, procedures and implementing the process
  • Carry out disciplinary meetings
  • Ensure the successful maintenance, updating and archiving of all personnel files
  • Monitor and review absence levels
  • Manage all redundancy situations
  • Part of the management forum, responsible for managing and developing the business.
  • Manage staff welfare issues
  • Manage all absences and reporting to appropriate line managers
  • Liaising with solicitors and other external bodies.
  • Assist in Health & Safety administration
  • Review and develop personnel policies and procedures



Knowledge of the following would be advantageous

  • Employment Law
  • HR Procedures and Policies
  • Training methods
  • TUPE


  • Working towards or achieved CIPD Level 5-7
  • Degree qualified
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience
