Wolviston Group currently have a requirement for a Planner on a contract basis for initially 12 months.
BASIC FUNCTION Reviews requirements in the preparation of all routine, preventive, predictive maintenance & project work. Participates in job scope development with the engineering and production personnel, works alongside the area coordinators with the execution of agree project activities. Identifies, Orders/reserves necessary spares required for allocated work. Monitors progress on site and feeds back to the Planning Lead |
WORK PERFORMED |
Plans in detail all tasks associated with allocated projects for electrical, instrument, mechanical , fabrication , civil , scaffold , insulation , Painting , Inspection and all necessary support contract groups , Job preparation will detail man-hour estimates, spare parts and other support services. Liaise with operations personnel where required, to establish work priorities/logics. Liaise with all engineering /QA/QC / Inspection groups to obtain necessary repair work scopes and procedures to help in job planning and preparation. Visiting work areas and attending coordination meetings to obtain feedback on work progress; receives and reviews completed schedules as appropriate; ensuring the logging of variations to planned work / logic changes and feeds back to the planning lead including actual man-hours spent.Checks assigned work lists and develops work packs for issuing to the field supervisors.
Prepares preliminary estimates, duration and manpower requirements. Ensures availability of critical spares. Follows up with procurement / area engineers on the availability of spares prior to the project commencement. Prepares post project report indicating recommendations. |
3. INDEPENDENCE OF OPERATION: Reports to the Planning Lead. Carries out work assignments in accordance with established policies and professional engineering standards. Work accomplishments are subject to review and discussion.
4.CORE SKILLS · Preferably coming from an engineering trade background with experience in maintenance and planning in an oil/gas or petrochemical industry · Understanding of basic planning & Engineering techniques – Norms , Logics , CPS , EFDs and engineering drawings. · Experience in producing detailed JMS (preferred) · Good working knowledge of Microsoft suite · SAP Working knowledge · Primavera P3e / P6 Working Knowledge · Work under minimal supervision – self-motivated – team player Please contact Jenni Antrobus JAntrobus@wolviston.com |
