My client is currently recruiting a Plant Operations Competency Coordinator to join its growing team at its Manufacturing Facility in Hartlepool.

 

As Operations Competency Coordinator you will work alongside the plant teams to carry out and assist with the training and development of the operating teams, including validation to enable them to perform their current and future job competently.

 

The successful candidate will also effectively manage the development and maintenance of critical operating documentation, for example operating procedures, work instructions, process manuals, Activity Based Learning documentation etc.

Key accountabilities of the successful candidate are;

 

  • Working closely with Plant teams, to manage and maintain all EHS critical operating instructions and ensure changes to operating procedures, key EHS improvements in-line with site PHA and quantitative risk assessment requirements, are made and communicated.
  • Maintain systems to ensure EHS critical and non-critical instructions are always utilized on plant, signed off, regularly reviewed, updated, and used as part of key operator refresher training.
  • Whilst working with the shift manufacturing teams, HR, and PSM team take ownership to review and update all refresher training material (Activity Based Learning documentation) across the plant sections. Establish systems to ensure these are regularly reviewed and updated.
  • Lead and coordinate the operator training revalidation programme to ensure completion of all ABLs and operations training is delivered, achieving 100% on time revalidation.
  • Working with key stakeholders coordinate introduction, training and validation of all new starters to the shift operating teams.
  • Develop system and coordinate the delivery of process theory and technical understanding sessions for key process areas to the shift operating teams, including site improvement projects.
  • Coach shift team in the application of ZERO harm tools across the shift teams to deliver consistency
  • Participate and contribute to PHAs, PSSRs, SIL reviews as and when required.
  • Gain a thorough appreciation of the process and plant operation working through relevant ABL’s as and when required.

 

The successful candidate will be educated to a good level and will have obtained a PP03 or equivalent experience. The successful candidate will also have practical, operating experience on high hazard chemical manufacturing sites, specifically using process documentation systems, business improvement and training activities in a high demand chemical manufacturing environment.
