Wolviston are recruiting a Process Engineer, on a contract basis, for a global science and chemicals company based in Billingham.

The contract will run until October 2019 – possibly longer.
Successful candidate will provide process engineering support in the development and operation of new and existing research engineering and site utility equipment, spanning multiple Sectors and Business Units across Teesside and 3rd Party site.
Activities include:
Process engineering design
Process safety support
Budge preparation
Design
Modification
Commissioning
Trobleshooting
Optimisation of bespoke Research Engineering equipment
  • Creating and preparing innovative process engineering designs and specifications for bespoke Research Engineering equipment to facilitate delivery of business critical research and manufacturing programmes.
  • Planning and prioritising own sections of engineering projects, including co-ordinating the tasks for Research Engineering Technicians, and manage customer and employee expectations to deliver within time and budget.
  • Actively contribute to EHS and process safety, including hazard studies, safety audits and risk assessments.
  • Specifying and procuring equipment to support projects, preventative maintenance programmes and repairs, including preparation and control of single or multiple project budgets in the region of £100K.
  • Collaborating with and providing technical expertise to projects teams, technicians and customers during installation, commissioning, modification and troubleshooting of research engineering and site utility equipment.
  • Responsible for design approval.
  • Carrying out design calculations for safety critical equipment, ensuring full compliance with all relevant codes, EHS standards and life Saving policies.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting non-optimal equipment performance and to work alongside customers to design efficient and robust solutions.
  • Identifying design solutions to complex problems and to continuously improve the effectiveness and reliability of bespoke Research Engineering equipment.
  • Responsible for ensuring equipment designs meet site and statutory specification.
